The First Lady was quoted as saying, "This is a big day. We've been talking [about] it since the day we moved in," She had help from 2 dozen local students with the groundbreaking. It has been mentioned before, but this is the first one since Eleanore Roosevelt.<br /><br />Personally I'm thrilled. I think it will be a good thing for both the First Family as well as the rest of the nation. The fact they will be having a garden will hopefully encourage other people to plant their own </span><span style="font-family:verdana;">vegetable gardens or at least eat more fresh produce.<br /><br />I also like the fact they are incorporating children from local schools to help with the gardening process. It's a great way to get kids involved in something active and healthy!
